CdCl2  · 2.5H2O, Na2SeO3 and NaBH4 were used as reactants to prepare 3-mercaptopropionic acid-stabilized CdSe quantum dots.

The effects of experimental conditions such as heating reflux time, the amount of  cadmium and selenium, and the ratio of the amount of cadmium and   3-mercaptopropionic acid on the spectral properties of CdSe quantum dots were   studied. UV-visible spectrum, fluorescence spectrum, X-ray Characterization of the optical properties and structure of quantum dots by analytical methods such as powder diffraction and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy.

The results show that the experimental conditions such as reaction time, the amount of cadmium and selenium, and the ratio of the amount of cadmium and 3-mercaptopropionic acid have a significant effect on the spectral performance of CdSe quantum dots; the fluorescence of quantum dots prepared   under different conditions The full width at half maximum of the emission   peak was maintained in the range of 35 to 40 nm; the obtained CdSe quantum dots were cubic crystals. The pH was 11.0 and nCd: nSe: nMPA = 1: 0.2: 1.1   was prepared under reflux for 90 min The quantum quantum yield of quantum dots can reach 16.1%.
