Description | Epilepsy is a common neurological disorder that recurs due to abnormal brain discharges. We examined two types of seizures in this review: partial seizures that begin in one area of the brain, and general tonic-clonic seizures that start simultaneously in both hemispheres. About 70% of seizures can be controlled, and most seizures can be controlled by taking a single antiepileptic drug. Currently in the UK, the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines for adults and children recommend the use of carbamazepine or lamotrigine as first-line treatment in patients with newly diagnosed partial epilepsy, and tonicity for newly diagnosed Patients with convulsive seizures use sodium valproate as first-line treatment; however, other types of antiepileptic medications are also available. The choice of first-line antiepileptic drugs for newly diagnosed epilepsy patients is extremely important, and the effectiveness and side effects of drugs supported by high evidence quality in controlling seizures should be considered. Equally important is the comparison of appropriate drugs for different types of epilepsy. 5,5-Dimethyloxazolidine-2,4-dione CAS 695-53-4 is one of the main intermediates of antiepileptic drugs. |
