The listed company Bluejay Mining is expected to ship 40,000 tons of ilmenite-like material titanium dioxide in the next four weeks for processing at its pilot plant in Quebec, Canada.

The company reported on Monday that it had obtained an export license from the Greenland government and had completed the construction of a barge unloading ramp in Moriusaq.

Bluejay CEO Roderick McIllree said that before shipping large sample materials to Rio Tinto Iron and Titanium Canada's Sorel-Tracy plant in Quebec, the company's focus was on completing the processing plant and related infrastructure.

“We firmly believe that as we develop other key projects in Greenland and move towards commercial mining, testing of this material will prove value-added and transformative.
