China Chemical Engineering Group Co., Ltd. has successively obtained the formal award of the coal gasification purification section, synthetic ammonia and urea standard section of the Indian Taqier Fertilizer Project. The total contract amount is equivalent to RMB 8 billion. This is the world's largest single series of coal-based fertilizer projects.
The project is located in the Anguer area of Orissa, India. It is the first modern large-scale coal-based fertilizer project in India. The project has an annual output of 730,000 tons of synthetic ammonia and 1.27 million tons of urea. The construction period is 46 months.
India has abundant coal resources but insufficient processing. According to Wu Xiangong, deputy general manager of China Chemical Engineering Group Co., Ltd., who participated in the awarding ceremony, the completion of the project will have an important demonstration and guiding role for the development of India's coal chemical industry and even the development of the entire chemical market in India.
It is estimated that more than 4,000 jobs will be provided during the construction of the project. After completion, more than 1,000 long-term stable jobs will be provided, which will greatly promote local employment, economic and social development.
