In The First Half Of This Year, Russia's Birch Export License Reached 567,000 Cubic Meters

   On January 1st solstice on June 30th Russia will impose quantitative restrictions on birch logs for export.Birch logs can only be exported from Russia within quotas allocated by the ministry of industry and trade.Birch logs licensed from Russia amounted to 567,000 cubic meters, with restricted exports of birch logs measuring 1 meter in length and 15 centimeters in diameter and herbicides are used m-Toluic acid.To obtain quotas, a one-time license from Russia's ministry of industry and trade is required.Permits may be issued electronically by the ministry of industry and trade of Russia.In this case, paper permits are not required to be submitted to the customs authorities.In 2018, 18 foreign economic activity participants declared to export birch timber to China within the jurisdiction of birobijan customs.Birch exports from January to November 2018 totaled 74,700 cubic meters, an increase of 24% over the same period in 2017.
